In Wednesday Social Bowls, teams were assigned by a random draw, so that different team mixtures resulted. The top prize was taken out by the dream team of Rod Quirk, Phil Collins and Wayne Thrussell. Runners up were Bruce Gornall, Terry Miles and Brad Conway. Voucher winners were Steve Hall, Viv Gunter, Darren Darcy and John O’Neill.
This week’s Friday Cashpot Triples was cancelled due to continual rain.
The rain also threatened the Preliminary Round of the Major Singles, but fortunately it held off. Conditions were still challenging, and a few upsets occurred. The results were:

There are no games in the Major Singles next week, due to the public holiday. The next Major Singles Round will be played on Sunday 13th October 2024.
The next Monday Monthly Pairs will be played on 7th October. There is one spot left in the Kew Classic Triples being held on 9-10 November 2024.
